From Foundation to Independent Practice

A three-part journey for facilitators who are serious about their craft and their career.

Start Your Journey

Most facilitators learn through trial and error — picking up techniques here, advice there, figuring out pricing and positioning on their own. It works eventually, but it's slow and lonely.

There's another way: a structured path from building your foundation to developing a sustainable independent practice, with guidance and a community of peers alongside you.

This is Craft to Practice — three individual, yet connected offerings that take you from essential skills to confident independence.

The Three Parts

1. Training

€1,350 (cohort) | €2,700 (1:1) | The Foundation

Build your core: mindset, methods, essential facilitation tools. Learn in a small cohort alongside peers (next cohort forming now), or go deep, flexible 1:1 with fully tailored intensive work. This is where you establish the foundation for everything that follows.

2. The Peer Lab

€200/month | The Community

Practice, Peers, Proximity: A small, invitation-only community where you sharpen your craft, navigate career challenges, and connect with facilitators who take this as seriously as you do.

[Learn more below]

3. Private 1:1 Deep Dives

€350/month | The Intensive

Dedicated 90-minute sessions where we go deep on your specific challenges — craft, career, or anything in between. With preparation and follow-through on both sides.

1. Training | The Foundation

Build Your Core: mindset, methods, and essential facilitation tools. Whether you learn best one-on-one or alongside a small group of peers, this is where you establish the foundation for everything that follows. The training follows the Do-And-Reflect / Reflect-And-Do approach: lots of participatory, interactive practice.

Two Formats:

Private 1:1 Training — €2,700

16 hours of intensive work tailored entirely to your context. We work through your specific challenges, your industry, your style. Scheduled flexibly around your calendar.

Best for people who want maximum customisation, have specific contexts to work through, or need flexible scheduling.

Small Group Cohort — €1,350

The same core curriculum in a cohort of 2 to a maximum 6 people. Learn through group practice, peer feedback, and shared challenges. 4 sessions over 2–3 weeks.

Best for people who value peer learning, want to build connections from day one, and prefer a lower price point.

Aspects the training is covering (both formats):

  • The Role Of A Facilitator: Understanding your role is by far the single most important thing and your biggest leverage.

  • The Facilitation Cycle: A good overview and reference for any meeting or session you might enter - prepared or unprepared.

  • Active / Empathetic Listening and Question Techniques: Listening and asking questions are more important than talking. Empathy creates connection.

  • Script-Writing: Pre-imagine every session, be as prepared as you can be and align with your client and co-facilitators.

  • Room Setup: The room setup can make or break a workshop. Let’s have a closer look and use it to the group’s advantage.

  • Introduction To Group Work Methods: Discover your first methods which will help you in most situations.

  • Practical Facilitation Exercise: Your turn to facilitate a mini session - and receive feedback from your peers and me.

The training covers both: How to implement facilitation in-person and online.

Investment:
€2,700 for a private 1:1 training
+ VAT where applicable (23% for PT/EU individuals without VAT number)

€1,350 for participating in a small group cohort
+ VAT where applicable (23% for PT/EU individuals without VAT number)

Next cohort starts: Next cohort forming now — we start when we have 2–6 committed participants

Private training: Available year-round

“This training was outstanding in the sense of eye opening, do-s and don’t-s and at providing hands-on knowledge enabling to be instantly applicable.

Martin created an inclusive, high-energy environment where we practised real-time moderation and facilitation techniques, mastered how to guide group dynamics, and learned to keep discussions productive, respectful and aligned toward results.

I now feel confident to lead workshops, host panels or moderate group conversations with clarity, poise and impact—and I’d wholeheartedly recommend this training to anyone who works with groups or teams.”

“Participating in this training went far beyond learning the facilitator role. I walked away with tools I can use in everyday situations, with colleagues, friends, even family. Martin’s energy is contagious. He doesn’t just teach techniques; he shifts the way you show up in conversations, challenges, and group dynamics. You leave with more clarity, sharper awareness, and a real sense of how to handle people and processes better. This training gives you far more than you expect.”

“The Facilitators Training led by Martin was such a great experience! He had a very structured way of guiding us, but it never felt rigid – more like we were learning how to do it right and how to make it our own. I really appreciated how he combined the professional and creative sides of facilitation. The sessions were engaging, full of insights, and genuinely fun to be part of.”

2. The Peer Lab | The Community

Practice, Peers, Proximity: a small, invitation-only community for facilitators building sustainable practices. Not a course. Not just a network. A working lab where you sharpen your craft, navigate real challenges, and grow alongside people who take this as seriously as you do.

What's Included:

Live Sparring Sessions
Monthly 90-minute sessions where we practice facilitation techniques, work through live challenges, and develop both your craft and your career strategy. These aren't lectures — they're active, hands-on, peer-driven.

Peer-Organised Practice
Members lead monthly practice sessions on topics they're working through. You shape the agenda based on what you actually need. Members take turns facilitating practice sessions and receive feedback from me.

Direct Access
You have my number. You can call. I'm present in the community. We interact naturally, not just in scheduled sessions.

Urgent Questions
Between sessions, when you're preparing for a workshop or stuck on a client situation, you can reach out directly.

Guest Practitioners
Occasional additional sessions with experienced facilitators from my network. Peer conversations, not performances.

Referral Network
As the community develops, members naturally begin referring work to each other and collaborating on projects that need more than one facilitator.

Who This Is For:

Invitation only. I look for three things: foundation, potential, and dedication.

You have grounding in facilitation basics (usually through formal training). You have genuine ambition to build a sustainable practice. And you show up — consistently, openly, ready to both learn and contribute.

Scholarship spots available for talented facilitators from emerging markets who meet these criteria.

Investment:
€200/month, continuous membership
+ VAT where applicable (23% for PT/EU individuals without VAT number)

€50/month for scholarship recipients
+ VAT where applicable (23% for PT/EU individuals without VAT number)

3. Private 1:1 Deep Dives | The Intensive

90 minutes dedicated entirely to you: your specific challenges, your cases, your development. This isn't a coaching call where we chat. It's focused, prepared, intentional work on whatever you're navigating right now.

What We Work On:

Craft, career, and everything in between.

Some months we might focus on a specific facilitation challenge — how to handle a difficult participant, how to design a multi-day process, how to facilitate virtually with presence. Other months we might focus on practice development — pricing your work, positioning yourself, landing your next client, navigating the transition to independence.

The agenda is always yours. I bring 11 years of freelance facilitation experience, systemic thinking, nervous-system-based approaches, and the willingness to ask uncomfortable questions that help you move forward.

How It Works:

90 minutes, monthly
A standing appointment where we go deep. Not rushed, not surface-level.

Preparation and follow-through on both sides
You come prepared with what you need to work through. I prepare based on what you share. After each session, you get clear next steps.

3-month minimum commitment, then rolling monthly
Long enough to see real progress and build momentum. Over time, I get to know your work, your patterns, and your context deeply — which makes each session more valuable than the last.

Investment:
€350/month
+ VAT where applicable (23% for PT/EU individuals without VAT number)
